Job summary

Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is seeking an Application Operations Engineer to maintain critical applications across cloud and on‑premises environments, resolve incidents, and improve overall service reliability.

In this role you will support production applications, investigate incidents, monitor performance, automate routine tasks and coordinate service improvements, with hybrid working and a Civil Service pension.

Qualifications

• Experience managing production applications and operational support.
• Strong incident management skills and ability to resolve complex issues.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and on-prem environments.
• Knowledge of Linux or server administration.
• Experience with monitoring tools and automation scripting.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
