Job summary

Academia recruits a dedicated Technical Services Team member to support a large higher education client with Jamf Pro management. The role centers on onsite administration of a sizable Apple device estate, including MacOS and iPadOS, and ongoing Jamf Pro implementation and maintenance.

You will benefit from support from the UK’s largest pool of Jamf certified engineers, with emphasis on clear communication to nontechnical audiences, and participation in automation, patch management, and ISO

Qualifications

• Experience in managing an Apple Mac &/or Apple iOS environment from the ground up using Jamf Pro in a current MacOSSequoia+ environment.
• Strong communication and networking skills with ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical audiences.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and document ISO procedures.

Responsibilities

• Onsite management of large Apple device estate including MacOS and iPadOS devices.
• Maintain and automate software for patch management.
• MDM (Jamf) solution implementation and maintenance.
• Basic network troubleshooting, diagnostics and repair.
• Support and development of solutions and ISO procedure documentation.

Academia is currently seeking to recruit a new member of staff to strengthen the Technical Services Team, dedicated to supporting a large higher education client with their Jamf Pro managed Apple estate.As a member of the team, the emphasis will be on providing high quality technical services & support.The ideal candidate will have experience managing a MacOS environment as the primary admin.

The role will have the support and backing of the UK’s largest pool of Jamf certified engineers available for remote assistance, support and consultancy andwould suit a highly competent individual with strong communication & technical skills to undertake the following duties:

• Onsite management of large Apple device estate

  • Apple MacOS and iPadOS devices
  • Apple School Manager
  • Mix of Shared/Lab and 1 to 1

• Maintenance and automation of software for patch management

• Basic network troubleshooting, diagnostics and repair

• MDM (Jamf) solution implementation and maintenance

  • Jamf Pro
  • Jamf Protect & Security Cloud
  • Modern Jamf technologies including Blueprints, DDM & Entra SSO device compliance

• Solutions development and maintenance

• ISO procedure documentation

• Ability to communicate technical concepts to a nontechnical audience

Key Skills

• Experience in managing an Apple Mac &/or Apple iOS environment from the ground up using Jamf Pro in a current (MacOS Sequoia and above) environment

• A passion for all things technology related

• Excellent all round communication skills especially in questioning and listening.

• Excellent personal planning and work organisation skills

• Excellent telephone manner

• Ability to demonstrate solutions to customers when necessary
