Team Profile

The EMEA Finance COO team’s primary focus is to support the EMEA Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with the following responsibilities:

  • Reporting – internal and external governance reporting to regulators as well as to firm management.
  • Operational Efficiency – management of projects supporting EMEA Finance initiatives and deliverables, optimising the EMEA Finance cost base.
  • Recruitment and Retention – oversight of all EMEA Finance recruitment and onboarding; mentoring, training and internal mobility.
  • Communications and Engagement – internal communications, employee engagement, diversity, volunteering and event management.
  • Logistics – office management, workplace strategy, space planning, health and safety.
  • Risk – overview of people conduct and outsourcing risk as relates to EMEA Finance.
What you'll do in the role
  • Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the firm.
  • Develop an understanding of Finance functional area tools and processes.
  • Responsible for tasks to support team deliverables with guidance and appropriately escalating issues to ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Adhere to the firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls.
  • Uphold the firm's values and hold yourself accountable to firm standards.
  • Reporting – assist with production of a wide range of documentation that directly supports both internal and regulatory governance across EMEA Finance (including quarterly reports for external auditors and remote booking forums). Analyse, review and validate data from different sources to ensure reporting is accurate.
  • Risk – support the EMEA Finance Chief Operating Officer (COO) with data coordination from various sources for the Divisional Conduct Risk Assessment and Business Continuity Plan to help management focus on potential issues and areas of concern. Assist in the due diligence process for materials for the EMEA Risk Committee.
  • Governance – maintain strong governance and oversight of the required documentation to support the EMEA Chief Financial Officer’s compliance with the Senior Manager Certification Regime (SMCR) by liaising with multiple teams and senior managers.
