Job summary

City of Doncaster Council is seeking an Alarm Receiving Centre Operator (CDC) to join our team at Civic Office, Doncaster. You will deliver first-class customer service, monitor CCTV, and manage emergency responses 24/7 across various channels, including face-to-face, phone, intercom and email.

The role supports residents and collaborates with St Leger Homes for out-of-hours repairs. Part-time, 26.25 hours per week, on a 4 on 4 off rota, with a Grade 6 salary (£26,403–£27,255 pro rata) plus 8.5%

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering first-class customer service across channels (face-to-face, phone, email).
  • Ability to work as part of a team delivering a 24/7 CCTV monitoring and response service.
  • Flexibility to work a 4 on 4 off rota and fixed shift pattern.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 24/7 emergency response and monitoring using CCTV.
  • Coordinate out-of-hours repairs and assist St Leger Homes with duties to residents.
  • Deliver customer services through multiple access channels (face to face, telephone, intercom, email).

Do you have a positive approach to work and enjoy the challenge of a busy role? We have an opportunity for you. Alarm Receiving Centre Operator plays a key role in ensuring overview of the role outcomes.

To work as part of a team delivery first class, professional customer service, primarily providing the Council’s 24 hour, 365 days per year contract including CCTV monitoring and response, both during normal working hours and out of hours.

You will be responsible for the delivery of an emergency response, action and monitoring function, including CCTV, ensuring a social care focused approach.

You will also work across teams delivering customer services through a diverse range of access channels, including face to face, telephone, intercom, door access control, text and email.

You will also be assisting with St Leger Homes with carrying our duties to support residents with out of hours repairs and arranging for repairs to be carried out.
