Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited in Filton, Bristol invites undergraduates for a 12.5-month internship with AIRTeC. You will join the structures test team to design tests, collect data and develop new cryogenic facilities for hydrogen powered flight while exploring AI and data-driven methods.

The role requires you to be an undergraduate for the full placement, study in engineering or AI-related fields, and be open to security clearance processes; hybrid work options may apply.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement.
• We are interested in candidates studying in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Systems or AI/Data Science.
• Active interest in materials testing, metrology, hydraulics, control systems and data sensing.

Responsibilities

• Design and test fixtures for material coupons and wings.
• Explore AI and data-driven platforms to enhance analytics and simulation.
• Develop measurement, control and data acquisition techniques.
• Assist in cryogenic test facility design for hydrogen powered flight.
• Hands-on testing and data collection on test rigs.
