Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited in Filton, Bristol, invites undergraduates to join the Laboratory Test Means Components (TMC) development team on a 12.5‑month internship starting 16 August 2027. The role offers hybrid working options and a 35-hour week with a salary of £24,246.

You will contribute to end-to-end development of Test Means Components, troubleshoot system issues, collaborate with experienced engineers, and help test benches used for landing gear and fuel systems.

Qualifications

• Undergraduates only; must remain an undergraduate for the entire placement.
• CV and Cover Letter outlining motivation and suitability.
• Degree area in Electrical, Electronics/Mechatronics Engineering, Software Engineering or IT.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end development of Test Means Components from requirements to verification and integration on test rigs.
• Troubleshooting test rig issues, identifying root causes and fixes.
• Collaborating with experienced engineers and mentoring peers.
• Building networks across testers, architects and engineering teams.
