Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited is offering an internship placed in Filton, Bristol, focusing on hydrogen test rigs for fuel and landing gear systems. You will contribute to end-to-end design, modification and commissioning of rigs, leveraging CATIA for 3D models and BOMs.

The role is open to undergraduates for the full duration of the placement, with hybrid working options depending on role. The position requires an undergraduate in fluid/mechanical/chemical engineering, strong teamwork and

Qualifications

Undergrad studying towards a degree in fluid mechanics, mechanical or chemical engineering.
Must be an undergraduate for the entire duration of the placement.
Knowledge of 3D drawing tools, mathematics and physics modules.
Ability to work as part of a team and have good communication skills.
Adaptability to work in a dynamic, non-office environment with prototyping.

Responsibilities

End to end development of hydrogen-focused test rigs from requirements capture to design, manufacturing and commissioning.
Modify existing hydrogen-focused test rigs to support new test requests.
Troubleshoot test rig issues.
Use CATIA and other tooling to produce 3D digital mock-ups, BOMs and build procedures.
Work in a non-office environment with access to prototyping areas and test rigs.
