Right Now Group in Feltham is seeking an experienced Air Export Clerk to manage end-to-end air export shipments for fine art, antiques and luxury goods, from booking to final destination. • Experience in air freight operations and export processes
• Familiarity with export documentation and customs procedures

• Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and partners
• Knowledge of BOXTOP is advantageous but not essential
• Knowledge of E-Customs would be beneficial

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end air export shipments from booking through to final destination
• Coordinate international movement of high-value goods (fine art, antiques, interior design)
• Prepare and review export documentation (customs declarations, invoices, packing lists, origin certificates)
• Arrange air freight shipments and coordinate collections/deliveries with transport partners
• Ensure compliance with UK and international customs/export regulations
• Liaise with clients, galleries, handlers, airlines, couriers and freight forwarders
• Track shipments and provide regular client updates
• Be a key contact for clients and external stakeholders
• Resolve customs queries, delays and documentation discrepancies
• Maintain accurate shipment records for compliance/audit
• Handle high-value consignments with care and discretion
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to maintain service levels

Role Overview

Right Now Group are recruiting for an experienced Air Export Clerk on behalf of a specialist logistics provider based in Feltham. This is an excellent opportunity to join a unique operation specialising in the international movement of fine art, antiques, interior design pieces and other high-value goods.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating air export shipments from start to finish, ensuring all documentation, customs requirements and transportation arrangements are managed accurately and efficiently. You will work closely with private clients, galleries, fine art handlers, shipping agents, couriers and freight forwarders to ensure valuable consignments are transported safely and delivered on schedule.

Key Responsibilities of an Air Export Clerk

• Manage end-to-end air export shipments from booking through to final destination
• Coordinate the international movement of fine art, antiques, interior design pieces and other high-value goods
• Prepare and review export documentation including customs declarations, commercial invoices, packing lists and certificates of origin
• Arrange air freight shipments and coordinate collections and deliveries with relevant transport partners
• Ensure shipments comply with UK and international customs and export regulations
• Liaise with fine art handlers, shipping agents, airlines, couriers and freight forwarders to arrange safe and timely transportation
• Track shipments throughout the export process and provide clients with regular updates
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, galleries and external stakeholders
• Resolve operational issues including customs queries, delays and documentation discrepancies
• Maintain accurate and complete shipment records for compliance and audit purposes
• Ensure high-value and sensitive consignments are handled with the required level of care, discretion and attention to detail
• Work closely with internal teams and external partners to maintain excellent service levels

Skills & Experience Required for an Air Export Clerk

• Previous experience within air freight, export operations, freight forwarding, logistics or shipping
• Strong understanding of air export procedures, customs requirements and international shipping
• Experience managing shipments from start to finish
• Knowledge of export documentation and customs procedures
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confident liaising with clients, suppliers and international partners
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities within tight deadlinesProactive approach to resolving operational issues
• BOXTOP knowledge would be advantageous but is not essential
• Knowledge of E-Customs would be beneficial
• Experience within fine art, antiques, luxury goods or specialist logistics would be advantageous
