Job summary

Right Now Group are recruiting an experienced Air Export Operator to join our Langley freight forwarding team. You will manage air export shipments from booking to delivery, handling documentation and compliance.

The role requires 3+ years in air export, strong communication, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Salary £35,000-£38,000, Monday to Friday, Langley location.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ air export experience in freight forwarding.
• End-to-end management of air export shipments.
• Knowledge of export customs procedures and docs.
• Confident dealing with airlines, agents, customers and suppliers.
• Experience with ASM Sequoia/BoxTop is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage air export shipments from booking to final delivery.

• Monitor shipments and resolve delays and issues.
• Support trade show and event shipments.
• Provide high-level customer service while handling multiple shipments.

Air Export Operator - Langley

Right Now Group are currently recruiting for an experienced Air Export Operator to join our client's established freight forwarding team based in Langley. Our client provides a high-quality logistics service across air and road freight and is looking for someone with solid freight forwarding experience who can confidently manage shipments from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities of an Air Export Operator

• Manage air export shipments from initial booking through to final delivery, ensuring all documentation and processes are completed accurately.
• Handle daily communication with UK and overseas customers, agents and suppliers regarding international shipments.
• Complete air freight export customs clearances and European road freight documentation.
• Prepare and process MAWBs, HAWBs, commercial invoices, packing lists and other required shipping documentation.
• Arrange courier bookings, collections and deliveries, ensuring shipments move within required deadlines.
• Liaise with airlines, handling agents, hauliers and other third-party partners to coordinate shipments effectively.
• Maintain accurate shipment information across internal systems, including ASM Sequoia and BoxTop.
• Monitor shipments throughout the journey, proactively resolving delays, discrepancies and operational issues.
• Support with trade show and event shipments, coordinating specialist equipment and international movements.
• Provide a high level of customer service while managing multiple shipments in a fast-paced freight forwarding environment.

Skills & Experience Required for an Air Export Operator

• Strong previous experience within freight forwarding, ideally with a minimum of 3+ years' Air Export experience.
• Proven experience managing air export shipments from start to finish.
• Good understanding of export customs procedures and international freight documentation.
• Confident dealing with airlines, handling agents, customers, overseas offices and transport providers.
• Experience using freight forwarding systems; ASM Sequoia and BoxTop experience would be advantageous.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative while contributing effectively within a team.
• Full UK Driving Licence (maximum 6 points).
• Right to work in the UK.

Salary & Benefits of an Air Export Operator

• Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 depending on experience
• Hours: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30 (1-hour unpaid lunch)
• Location: Langley
• Holiday: 20 days + Bank Holidays
