Job summary

TipTopJob is recruiting for an Air Export Clerk to join an international freight company in Staines. You will manage export shipments from origin to departure, ensuring all documents (MAWB/HAWB and customs) are correct and completed on time, while coordinating with customers, airlines and internal teams.

The role requires experience in air freight exports or freight forwarding, strong communication skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in air freight exports or freight forwarding is preferred.
• Knowledge of export customs procedures and air freight documentation.
• Good understanding of airline booking processes and cargo handling.
• Experience using freight forwarding systems.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and process export air freight shipments from origin through to departure.
• Create and manage export files within operational systems.
• Ensure all shipment documentation is accurate and completed on time, including MAWB, HAWB and export customs documentation.
• Liaise with customers, airlines, handling agents, hauliers, overseas offices and internal departments.
• Book cargo with airlines.
• Arrange collections and coordinate transport requirements.
• Ensure customs compliance and export security requirements are met.
• Track shipments and provide proactive updates to customers.
• Resolve operational issues, delays or service failures quickly and professionally.
• Ensure milestones and shipment updates are entered correctly within operational systems.
• Support timely and accurate billing by ensuring buy and sell rates are entered correctly.
• Maintain KPI and service level performance standards.
• Follow company SOPs, compliance procedures and security regulations.
• Support team members during peak periods and holiday cover.

Job Title: Air Export Clerk

Location: Staines

Salary: Up to A GBP 34,500, depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 : 17:30, with one hour for lunch
