Job Summary

We are developing an advanced multi-agent orchestration platform powered by LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and AWS serverless technologies. Our system uses Strands agents, AWS Bedrock, and cloud-native services to deliver intelligent, scalable AI-driven features.

We are seeking an AI Technical Lead who brings deep hands‑on AI experience and strong engineering leadership. In this role, you will guide a growing AI team, shape the technical direction of the platform, and stay hands‑on with coding to solve complex problems and deliver high-quality production features.

Responsibilities
  • Provide hands‑on technical leadership and mentor AI developers on writing clean, reliable code and following good engineering practices
  • Design and improve multi-agent workflows, LLM features, and RAG pipelines
  • Build and maintain backend Python services and AI pipelines
  • \
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, Software Architects, and other Technical Leads on system design and architecture
  • Support the team in designing retrieval pipelines, embedding workflows, and vector search logic
  • Maintain knowledge bases and ensure high-quality contextual retrieval
  • Participate in architectural discussions and propose improvements
  • Ensure scalability, reliability, and operational excellence across AI systems
  • Stay current on emerging AI techniques, tools, and industry patterns
Qualifications & Requirements
  • 7+ years of software development experience
  • Practical experience with LLMs, RAG, embeddings, and vector search
  • Hands‑on experience designing or building agentic workflows (Strands or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering, model APIs, and production LLM pipelines
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills
  • Experience with code reviews, unit testing, and technical documentation
  • Comfortable working in AWS Lambda (building, deploying, logging, debugging)
  • Hands‑on experience with DynamoDB, Amazon Aurora, Amazon S3, CloudWatch, and IAM
  • Understanding of serverless and event‑driven architecture patterns
Assets
  • AWS Cloud Experience: Experience designing scalable cloud‑native AI systems, AWS Bedrock (model invocation, agents, vector search), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
  • Nice‑to‑Have: Knowledge of RDF, semantic or graph databases; event‑driven architectures; containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes); observability and monitoring for AI/ML systems; background in MCP (Model Context Protocol)

Work Location: Hybrid (In-office 3 days per week, subject to change)

This range reflects the minimum and maximum target payable for the base salary of new hires across all Canadian locations. Actual compensation may vary outside range and is dependent on various factors.
