Overview

A technology company is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Scientist to design and scale AI-powered data products. The role involves applying advanced machine learning techniques to generate actionable insights from complex datasets. Candidates should have a Master’s or PhD.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and ship production-grade agentic workflows in Python (ideally using LangGraph).
• Support CI/CD and infra for AI services (ideally using Docker, Cloud Run & GitHub Actions).
• Optimise the cost and performance of AI services.
• Run experiments (A/B testing, user studies) on AI services, analyse impact and feed insights back into the roadmap.
• Uphold code quality (typing, tests, linting), lead reviews and mentor teammates on best practices.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of data pipelines and AI services.

Qualifications

• BSc in a STEM subject.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an AI/ML/Data Engineer.
• Experience in applying LLMs and developing, testing and deploying agentic systems in Python (ideally LangGraph).
• Deep knowledge of Python and relevant libraries (LangChain, LangGraph, FastAPI, Pydantic, etc).
• Experience in designing, building, testing, deploying and maintaining data pipelines (ideally using Airflow/Cloud Composer).
• Experience in deploying DevOps processes (GitHub, Docker, CI/CD in GitHub Actions, deploying in GCP).
