Job summary

Actian is seeking an AI Enablement Lead to architect and scale AI enablement across our Data Intelligence Platform. You will build foundational AI tooling, governance, and agentic workflows to empower product teams to deploy AI safely and rapidly.

You will champion end-to-end AI enablement, lead cross-functional efforts, and drive production-grade AI capabilities with a strong focus on scalability, security, and ROI. Remote or hybrid work options are available in the UK.

Qualifications

• Senior AI/ML Engineer, LLMOps Engineer, or Software Architect with enterprise SaaS or data platform experience.
• Deep expertise in Python or Go, vector databases (Pinecone, Milvus, pgvector), LangChain, LlamaIndex, and LLM fine-tuning.
• High-agency mindset and proactive framework development.
• Software engineering rigor: CI/CD, testing, Docker/Kubernetes, clean code architecture.
• Strong leadership and communication to align teams and drive outcomes.
• Excellent English communication for stakeholders and executives.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain core AI orchestration layers, gateways, and reusable frameworks for company-wide use.
• Embed production-ready AI/ML features into Actian Data Intelligence Platform.
• Establish guardrails, evaluation frameworks, and monitoring for model performance, privacy, and security.
• Monitor cloud and API spend and optimize latency for production AI features.
• Lead workshops and create documentation to upskill engineering teams.
• Drive PoC to production for high-impact AI projects with scalable code.
• Define and standardize the AI tooling stack, including vector databases and embeddings strategies.
• Evaluate vendors and open-source models to keep Actian at the innovation frontier.
• Track metrics like adoption rates, time-to-market, and ROI of AI tools.
