Job summary

Pembrook Resourcing LTD is recruiting for an Assistant Aftersales Manager in Exeter. The role offers a clear route into Aftersales management with hands‑on leadership and real progression as the company grows.

You will support the Aftersales Manager, motivate the team to hit targets and maintain Service, Parts and customer experience standards. Monday–Friday work pattern with uncapped progression potential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within an automotive Aftersales environment.
• Strong understanding of Service and Aftersales operations.
• Previous supervisory, team leader or management experience.
• Commercially aware with a strong focus on customer experience.
• Confident communicator with the ability to lead and influence a team.

Responsibilities

• Support the Aftersales Manager with the day‑to‑day running of the department.
• Help lead and motivate the Aftersales team to achieve operational and commercial targets.
• Maintain high standards across Service, Parts and customer experience.
• Monitor departmental performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support customer retention and ensure a consistently high level of service.
• Step up and take responsibility for the department when required.
• Develop your management and leadership skills with a view to progressing into an Aftersales Manager position.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for an experienced automotive Aftersales professional to join the team in Exeter as Assistant Aftersales Manager.

This is a hands‑on management opportunity for someone who wants to develop their leadership experience, take on greater responsibility and ultimately progress into a full Aftersales Manager position.

• £35,000 basic salary
• OTE up to £45,000+

THE ROLE

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You’ll need

• Previous experience within an automotive Aftersales environment.
• Strong understanding of Service and Aftersales operations.
• Previous supervisory, team leader or management experience.

• Confident communicator with the ability to lead and influence a team.

It would be great if you also have

• Previous Assistant Aftersales Manager or similar experience.
• Experience within a main dealership environment.
• Strong Service Advisor or Workshop Controller background with management aspirations.
• Experience across both Service and Parts.
• A genuine ambition to progress into a senior Aftersales management position.
