The role offers a £35,000 basic salary with OTE up to £45,000+ and a Monday-Friday pattern, presenting a clear route into a full Aftersales Manager position as the business grows. You will develop leadership skills and contribute to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support the Aftersales Manager with day‑to‑day running of the department.
• Help lead and motivate the Aftersales team to achieve targets.
• Maintain high standards across Service, Parts and customer experience.
• Monitor departmental performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support customer retention and ensure a high level of service.
• Step up and take responsibility for the department when required.
• Develop management and leadership skills with a view to progression.

We’re looking for an experienced automotive Aftersales professional to join the team in Exeter as Assistant Aftersales Manager.

THE ROLE

• Support the Aftersales Manager with the day-to-day running of the department.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You’ll need

• Previous experience within an automotive Aftersales environment.
• Strong understanding of Service and Aftersales operations.
• Previous supervisory, team leader or management experience.
• Commercially aware with a strong focus on customer experience.
• Confident communicator with the ability to lead and influence a team.

It would be great if you also have

• Previous Assistant Aftersales Manager or similar experience.
• Experience within a main dealership environment.
• Strong Service Advisor or Workshop Controller background with management aspirations.
• Experience across both Service and Parts.
• A genuine ambition to progress into a senior Aftersales management position.
