Job summary

A Vehicle Aftersales Advisor is sought for a reputable franchise-approved car dealership in Kidlington, Oxfordshire. The role sits in the busy Service Department, offering a salary up to £30,000 depending on experience, with a quarterly CSI bonus and a per-service-plan incentive.

Expect Monday–Friday, 8:00am–6:00pm, with no weekend work. Benefits include a pension, training, Perkbox access, staff discounts and a birthday/celebration day off.

Responsibilities

Our client, a reputable franchise-approved car dealership based in Kidlington, Oxfordshire, is seeking a Vehicle Aftersales Advisor to join their busy Service Department. This is an excellent Aftersales Advisor opportunity for a motivated individual to develop within a respected automotive business.

• Salary up to £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience
• Performance-related quarterly CSI bonus of £1,000 and £25 per service plan sold

Duties of an Aftersales Advisor:

• Greet customers in the Service Department and book their vehicles in for repairs
• Liaise with the workshop to chase work in progress and ensure timely delivery
• Advise and influence customers on minor technical issues, delivering a first-class service
• Upsell additional products and services where appropriate
• Keep customers informed regarding vehicle repair progress
• Take payments for completed work and ensure customer satisfaction
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and manufacturers
• Support the dealership’s objectives and targets related to aftersales services

Requirements of an Aftersales Advisor:

• Prior or current experience as an Aftersales Advisor is desirable but not essential
• Strong customer service background from hospitality or retail sectors will be considered
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• IT proficiency, ideally with experience using Kerridge Dealer Management System (non-essential)
• Knowledge of automotive warranty procedures and liaising with manufacturers regarding warranty work (advantageous but non-essential)
• Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
• Genuine passion for automotive brands and delivering high-quality customer service
