Job summary

Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa is seeking an Afternoon Tea Supervisor to lead a team in our lounges and terraces, delivering refined service to residents, spa guests and visitors. You will supervise service, take orders, coach staff and ensure standards are met across 5 days, including weekends, with shifts from 9am to 5.30pm or 6pm.

The role offers a salary of £26,894.40 per annum plus monthly service charge, 4 weeks holiday rising with service, and staff benefits such as parking,

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience within a quality hotel/restaurant.
• Strong guest service focus.
• Ability to lead a team of waiters/esses.

Responsibilities

• Preparing lounges and terraces for service and ensuring they are welcoming.
• Meeting and greeting guests; taking guest orders.
• Coaching staff to maintain service standards; serving beverages and food.
• Completing satisfaction checks and acting on feedback.
• Resolving service issues and presenting bills to guests.
• Clearing/resetting the lounge/terraces at end of shift; keeping area tidy.

The Role

Working in our beautiful Lounges and outside Terraces, when the weather permits, you will be responsible for the service of afternoon tea, and other food and beverage to residents, spa guests and local visitors. Candidates will be working on a shift pattern across 5 days including weekends, with shifts starting at 9am/9.30am and finishing 5.30/6.00pm, 40 hrs per week.

Main Duties of the Afternoon Tea Supervisor include;

• Ensuring the lounges and terraces (during fine weather) are prepared for service and are always presentable and welcoming
• Meeting and greeting guests
• Taking guest orders
• Coaching employees to develop their skills and ensure service standards are met
• Serving food and beverage including alcoholic beverages
• Completing satisfaction checks and action all feedback
• Resolving any service issues
• Presenting bills to guests and taking payment
• Ensuring the lounge/terraces are cleared/reset at the end of the shift ready for the next service
• Ensuring work area is clean and tidy before closing

Requirements

• Must have your own transport due to our location and the shift work required for this role
