Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa in Crawley is seeking an Afternoon Tea Supervisor to oversee service in lounges and terraces, ensuring a welcoming environment for residents, spa guests and visitors. The role involves coaching staff, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and handling guest feedback across a 5-day shift pattern, including weekends, with early starts.

£26,894.40 per annum + monthly service charge payment

The Role

Working in our beautiful Lounges and outside Terraces, when the weather permits, you will be responsible for the service of afternoon tea, and other food and beverage to residents, spa guests and local visitors. Candidates will be working on a shift pattern across 5 days including weekends, with shifts starting at 9am/9.30am and finishing 5.30/6.00pm, 40 hrs per week.

Main Duties of the Afternoon Tea Supervisor include;

• Ensuring the lounges and terraces (during fine weather) are prepared for service and are always presentable and welcoming
• Meeting and greeting guests
• Taking guest orders
• Coaching employees to develop their skills and ensure service standards are met
• Serving food and beverage including alcoholic beverages
• Completing satisfaction checks and action all feedback
• Resolving any service issues
• Presenting bills to guests and taking payment
• Ensuring the lounge/terraces are cleared/reset at the end of the shift ready for the next service
• Ensuring work area is clean and tidy before closing
