• Preferably have traveled to Africa with solid sales experience in a tour operations environment.
• Highly experienced and able to work remotely effectively.

Senior Africa Travel Consultant – Remote. Long established specialist tour operator wishes to hire experienced Africa Travel Consultant to serve our well established client base. Starting salary up to £34k pa dependent on experience and uncapped OTE of £50k pa. Great working hours with no weekends.

Job Description

• Take calls and emails from clients regarding African holidays and itineraries.
• Build rapport with clients, understand their needs and requirements to create memorable journeys.
• Create itineraries and confirm travel arrangements using in‑depth Africa knowledge and insights along with operator resources.
• Offer exceptional service with attention to detail; the approach emphasises special touches that make a holiday unique.
• Performance is measured through ability to convert enquiries to bookings and through client satisfaction and repeat bookings.

Package

Salary is dependent on experience, negotiable up to £34k pa as a starting salary. Earnings potential on top of basic salary with realistic OTE of £50k pa and uncapped. Remote role with no weekend working. Educational modules available.

Experience

Successful candidate must have recent experience working for a tour operator, selling a variety of destinations and itineraries. Preferable to have travelled to and first‑hand knowledge of Africa, but candidate must have solid experience selling Africa in a tour operations environment. Role requires someone highly experienced to work remotely and hit the ground running.
