Recruitment Specialist at Kingsgate Recruitment. A specialist business-to-business media publisher is seeking an Advertising Sales Manager following a staff retirement and recent acquisition. This is a rare opportunity to work across two established international titles serving global industrial sectors.
The role focuses on selling advertising solutions primarily in print, with a growing emphasis on digital platforms including websites and newsletters. It is a client-facing position requiring regular outbound sales activity to an international database of existing and prospective clients. The role would suit a junior-level salesperson looking to progress and take on increased responsibility within a well-established B2B publishing environment.
Responsibilities
- Sell display advertising across print and digital platforms
- Build, manage, and grow client relationships
- Generate new business and develop existing accounts
- Meet and exceed sales targets with accurate forecasting
- Promote magazines and related products
- Prepare and present sales proposals
- Collaborate with editorial teams
- Conduct independent market and web research
- Carry out ongoing competitor analysis
- Represent the business professionally at all times
- Attend trade shows across Europe and potentially further afield
- Report to senior management
- Support sales across additional titles or products as required
Skills & Experience Required
- Confident, articulate, and professional telephone manner
- Strong sales, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Proven ability to win new business and grow accounts
- Track record of achieving or exceeding targets
- Highly organised with strong time management skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with ownership of accounts
- Understanding of print and digital advertising sales
- Tenacious, proactive, and detail-oriented approach
- Ability to work collaboratively with editorial teams
Education
- Degree preferred but not essential
Salary & Benefits
- Generous, uncapped commission structure (3% per sale)
- Realistic on-target earnings of £40,000–£45,000
