Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is recruiting an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join the ANP team in West Dunbartonshire. The post offers clinical leadership across four pillars: clinical practice, leadership, education, and research, with autonomy to assess, diagnose, treat, and prescribe for complex cases.

Applicants should be registered with the NMC UK pin and may be qualified in primary or secondary/advanced practice.

Qualifications

• Clinical assessment and diagnostic reasoning
• Clinical judgement and decision-making
• Anatomy and pathophysiology
• Non-medical prescribing (V300)
• Leadership in care delivery and evaluation
• Practice-based learning or equivalent transferable modules

Responsibilities

• Take and record patient history with sensitivity and confidentiality
• Conduct comprehensive clinical examinations and mental health assessment as appropriate
• Screen patients for disease using clinical findings and investigations
• Make diagnostic decisions based on clinical data and tests
• Formulate treatment plans and high-level differential diagnoses
• Prescribe treatment as a Non-medical Prescriber
• Implement non-pharmacological interventions as required
