Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join the ANP team in West Dunbartonshire. The post involves autonomous clinical practice, leadership, education and research within a multidisciplinary framework.

The successful candidate will assess, diagnose, treat, and prescribe for patients with complex needs, with opportunities for CPD and flexible working arrangements where possible.

Qualifications

• Clinical assessment and diagnostic reasoning demonstrated.
• Clinical judgement and decision-making skills.
• Anatomy and pathophysiology knowledge.
• Non-medical prescribing (V300) qualification.
• Leadership in care delivery and evaluation.
• Practice-based learning or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Take and record patient history with medical, family and social context.
• Conduct a comprehensive clinical examination and mental health assessment.
• Screen patients for disease using clinical data and tests.
• Make diagnostic decisions based on findings.
• Request appropriate diagnostic tests when indicated.
• Perform invasive and non-invasive procedures as needed.
• Interpret results and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
• Formulate treatment plans and evidence-based management.
• Prescribe treatment as a Non-medical Prescriber.
• Implement non-pharmacological interventions where appropriate.
