Project Manager – Technical Operations Heavy Lift Logistics

Location Options:

Hours: 37.5 per week (additional hours may apply, with uplift and overtime rates)

As a leading provider in technical operations and heavy lift logistics, we are seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee complex projects across various sectors including renewables, oil & gas, and civil infrastructure. This role requires exceptional project management skills and the ability to efficiently handle technical, operational, and commercial responsibilities.

  • Performance-related bonus: up to 15% (£9,750), paid quarterly, consistently achieved in recent periods

About the Role

Core Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Full responsibility for the planning and execution of technical operations. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet high safety and quality standards.
  • Contract Management: Adhere to NEC contract forms, ensuring projects are delivered as per the terms and conditions agreed upon, capturing all variations, and negotiating favourable payment terms.
  • Risk Management: Actively manage risks associated with commercial, operational, environmental, and safety aspects.
  • Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, assisting with tendering processes and securing new business.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Project Management Team to meet client needs and expand business opportunities.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in engineering software packages such as AutoCAD, Inventor, or Navisworks is essential.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related subject.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in operational, commercial, and technical delivery of heavy lift logistics and installations.
  • Proficiency in project management processes and Microsoft Office packages.
  • Strong communication skills and team-oriented approach.
  • Current valid driving license and ability to pass security vetting for projects of national importance in the UK.
  • Master’s degree or higher in an engineering-related subject.
  • Flexible and willing to work from various site offices, including on-site project locations as needed.
