Job summary

Brook Street is recruiting an Administration Officer to support the Courts and Tribunals in Wrexham. You will prepare papers, manage records on an in-house system, and assist with hearings and meetings.

The role is fully office-based, with a 37-hour week and a basic DBS processed by Brook Street. Flexibility to work at other local offices and occasional travel to Mold and Welshpool may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing papers and files for court, tribunals, hearings and meetings.
  • Producing court/tribunal documents, drafting letters and notes, maintaining minutes.
  • Creating and updating records on an in-house system, including data input.
  • Booking and organising meeting rooms, training support, preparing agendas and handouts.
  • Clerking hearings, updating papers/materials, assisting with listing and rota support.
  • Handling customer enquiries face-to-face, in writing and by phone with professionalism.
  • Contacting relevant parties, scheduling and serving documents, executing actions.
  • Processing casework tasks and preparing standard documentation.

Job description

Job Title: Administration Officer

Location: Wrexham, LL12 7BP

Flexibility may be needed to work at other local office locations for ad hoc support (including possible travel to Mold and Welshpool)

Pay Rate: £12.86 for the first 12 weeks, rising to £13.25 afterwards
Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9am to 5pm ,37 hours per week

Working Pattern: Fully Office Based

Assignment length: until 15/03/2027 with possible extension

Clearance: Basic DBS to be processed by Brook Street

What you'll be doing:
  • Preparing papers and files for court, tribunals, hearings and meetings
  • Producing court/tribunal documents, drafting standard letters and correspondence, and maintaining minutes/notes
  • Creating and updating records on an in-house computer system, including data input
  • Booking and organising meeting rooms, training support, and preparing agendas, joining instructions and handouts
  • Clerking hearings by ensuring papers/materials are up to date and assisting with listing and rota support
  • Handling face-to-face, written and telephone enquiries with helpful, polite customer service
  • Contacting relevant parties, scheduling and serving documents, and executing appropriate administrative actions
  • Processing casework tasks, preparing standard documentation and supporting accurate results/orders
