Brook Street is seeking an organised administrator to support Courts and Tribunals in Wrexham. The role involves preparing papers, drafting documents, updating records and handling inquiries in a busy office environment.

Based in a fully office-based setting, the post requires attention to detail, effective communication and a calm, proactive approach to meet throughput and accuracy targets. DBS basic clearance is required; assignment runs until 15/03/2027 with possible extension.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing papers and files for court, tribunals, hearings and meetings.
  • Producing court/tribunal documents and correspondence; maintaining minutes/notes.
  • Creating/updating records in the in-house system; data input.
  • Booking/organising meeting rooms, support, agendas and handouts.
  • Clerking hearings; ensuring papers are up to date; assisting with listing and rota support.
  • Handling face-to-face, written and telephone enquiries with courteous service.
  • Contacting relevant parties, scheduling/serving documents and administrative actions.
  • Processing casework tasks and supporting accurate results/orders.

Job description

Flexibility may be needed to work at other local office locations for ad hoc support (including possible travel to Mold and Welshpool)


Pay Rate: £12.86 for the first 12 weeks, rising to £13.25 afterwards


Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9am to 5pm ,37 hours per week


Working Pattern: Fully Office Based


Assignment length: until 15/03/2027 with possible extension


Clearance: Basic DBS to be processed by Brook Street

What you'll be doing:


  • Preparing papers and files for court, tribunals, hearings and meetings

  • Producing court/tribunal documents, drafting standard letters and correspondence, and maintaining minutes/notes

  • Creating and updating records on an in-house computer system, including data input

  • Booking and organising meeting rooms, training support, and preparing agendas, joining instructions and handouts

  • Clerking hearings by ensuring papers/materials are up to date and assisting with listing and rota support

  • Handling face-to-face, written and telephone enquiries with helpful, polite customer service

  • Contacting relevant parties, scheduling and serving documents, and executing appropriate administrative actions

  • Processing casework tasks, preparing standard documentation and supporting accurate results/orders
