Join Our Outstanding Nursery School as our New Administration Assistant

Location: Oaklands Nursery School

Contract: Part-Time (16hrs - Term Time)

Salary: Grade 4

Responsibilities

Are you an organised, proactive, and experienced administrator? We are an Outstanding nursery school dedicated to giving children the very best start in life — and we are now seeking a talented Administration Assistant for our busy school office. As our Administration Assistant, you will play a vital role in the smooth and efficient running of the school. You will:

  • Assist in developing and overseeing systems, procedures and policies that keep the school running smoothly.
  • Manage manual and online information systems (including Arbor) and maintain our school website.
  • Assist in producing reports and information to support school leadership.
  • Assist in the safe recruitment process, staff records, and induction of new children and staff.
  • Assist in liaising with the Local Authority and site team on facilities management, health and safety, and compliance.
  • Play a key role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children by ensuring our procedures are robust and our environment is safe and welcoming.
About You

You will be highly organised, adaptable and calm under pressure. You will have excellent communication and IT skills, experience of school systems (ideally Arbor). Most importantly, you will be committed to creating a warm, professional welcome for our families and visitors and to supporting the school’s ethos and high standards.
