This post provides essential front-line and administrative support to patients, Medical Secretaries, Nurses, and Doctors, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our busy skin department. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, helping to manage appointments, handle enquiries, and support the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care.
Prepare clinics in advance, ensuring all necessary documentation and records are available and accurate.
Record clinic outcomes promptly and accurately to support timely follow-up and data quality.
Answer telephone calls and respond to patient queries in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring all enquiries are dealt with efficiently.
Liaise with Doctors, Medical Secretaries, and Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS) to support day-to-day service delivery and smooth clinic operations.
Type clinic letters, results letters, and other correspondence accurately and promptly, maintaining a high standard of presentation and attention to detail.
Monitor and manage the shared team email inbox, ensuring queries are directed, actioned, and responded to appropriately.
Manage and update patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with Trust policies and data protection regulations.
Provide cross-cover support at county sites when required, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
Assist with reception duties as needed, maintaining a welcoming and efficient front-of-house service for patients and visitors.
