Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals for the Johnstone Delivery Office as flexible Post Persons with Driving. You will deliver letters and parcels, combining van driving with on-foot elements to cover routes in your community.

Applicants must have a full, manual UK driving licence with up to 6 points and be physically able to walk long distances and lift items up to 16kg. Shifts vary and guaranteed hours start at 20 per week, with hourly pay rates depending on shift type.

Qualifications

• Driving licence: Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Physical fitness: Walk 20,000 steps a day, get in/out of van, carry mailbag up to 16kg.
• Flexibility: Shifts can vary and require adaptability at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels across your route, on foot where required.
• Drive your Royal Mail van and complete parts of the route on foot as needed.
• Ensure secure, timely delivery and handle election materials and restricted items per policy.
• Provide excellent service and represent Royal Mail in your community.
