Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a Post Person with Driving to deliver letters and parcels across your community, often outdoors, come rain or shine. You will drive a Royal Mail van and also complete portions of your route on foot, providing excellent service and ensuring safe, timely delivery.

The role requires a full UK driving licence with few points, good physical fitness, and flexible availability to cover varying shifts. You’ll be assessed on driving ability at onboarding.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Excellent physical fitness to walk long distances and carry mailbags up to 16 kg.
• Flexible shifts and ability to adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels to the community, outdoors in all weather.
• Drive a Royal Mail delivery van as needed and complete parts of the route on foot.
• Handle and deliver election materials and other items per Royal Mail standards.
• Pass a driving assessment at start of employment.
