Job summary

Royal Mail is recruiting flexible Post Person with Driving roles for delivery across local areas. You will drive a Royal Mail van, deliver letters and parcels, and complete parts of your route on foot as needed. This temporary position requires a full, manual UK driving licence and the ability to walk long distances daily.

Shifts vary; you’ll need to stay adaptable and provide excellent service in all weather conditions. A driving assessment will be required on start.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of the van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels on your route.
• Drive round your delivery area, with parts of the route completed on foot.
• Provide exceptional service and ensure every item reaches its destination safely.
• Handle and deliver election materials and certain items in line with Royal Mail standards.
