A recruitment agency is seeking a dedicated Social Worker for the Children with Disabilities Team. This position involves collaborating with disabled children and their families to meet assessed needs and support their potential. The role offers flexible hours and a supportive environment, with opportunities for training and progression. Ideal candidates will have a Social Work qualification, be passionate about making a difference, and possess at least 3 years of post-qualifying experience in the UK Social Care industry. AFC is embedding a systemic approach and is currently undergoing a number of changes focussed on reducing caseloads and improving outcomes for families. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and supportive team within Achievingfor Children.
You will work with them, their families and other agencies to meet their assessed needs and support them to achieve their potential.
Include assessment, planning and interventions with Children in Need, Children Looked After and Children in need of Protection, as well as young people preparing for adulthood.
Will have a Social Work qualification and an understanding of the impact of disability on children’s lives.
Be passionate about making a difference, and able to use creative and personalised approaches alongside the team’s Signs of Safety and My Plan approach to achieve positive outcomes for children.
Be able to work in partnership with disabled children and their families, as well as colleagues in Education, Health, the Voluntary & Community sector, wider Children’s and Lifelong Services.
Be passionate about making a difference and able to use creative and personalised strengths-based approaches alongside the team’s embedded Signs of Safety work to achieve positive outcomes for children.
Be able to work in partnership with disabled children and their families.
