MB451 – Account Manager (Live Events)
Location: London with UK travel
Salary: £38,000 – £46,000 DOE
Working Hours: Monday to Friday

First Military Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Account Manager to work on a variety of projects within the live events sector. This is an excellent and exciting opportunity to join an established yet expanding business with an excellent opportunity of career advancement.

The purpose of the Account Manager is to generate and drive revenues from exhibition organisers, primarily from existing accounts, but also from new clients. This includes promoting and selling some products and services that are completely unique to the industry.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sell a range of audio-visual solutions for live events to existing and new clients
  • Identify opportunities to improve revenue from existing accounts and leveraging other relationships to develop new accounts
  • Write account plans for clients to identify and maximise revenue opportunities
  • Produce quotations and proposals
  • Analyse the profitability of accounts and recommend actions for improvements
  • Attend industry functions to cement relationships and develop new one
  • Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a technical delivery and/or technical sales role
  • Naturally pro-active instincts, with a hunger for sales
  • A good understanding of the exhibition or live events sector
  • Demonstrable track record of achievement and commercial skills
  • Outstanding organisational skills and the ability to prioritise
  • First class interpersonal skills – especially regarding meeting management and written communications
  • Experience and familiarity using a CRM solution
  • Very good IT skills including being competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Experience of working effectively with a wide variety of people at all levels within an organisation
  • Excellent all-round end-user IT skills
