Are you experienced in Account Management, Client Services, Customer Success or Service Delivery within the IT sector and looking for a role where you can have more ownership, visibility and genuine influence?
We’re recruiting on behalf of a small, boutique Managed Service Provider with an established and loyal SME client base across the East Midlands.
This is a close-knit, supportive business that has built its reputation around providing clients with high-quality, personal IT support and trusted advice. Rather than simply supplying technology or responding to tickets, the team works closely with its customers, helping them make the right decisions around their IT and providing ongoing support and direction.
The business has significant scope for further growth and is now creating its first dedicated Account Manager position to strengthen those client relationships and support the next stage of its development.
This isn’t a high-volume cold-calling or aggressive sales role.
You’ll inherit relationships with an established client base and focus on making sure customers feel valued, supported and properly looked after.
As the first dedicated Account Manager within the business, you’ll also have the opportunity to help shape how Account Management develops.
Initially, you’ll spend time understanding the business, its customers and services while supporting the day-to-day commercial process. As your knowledge and relationships develop, you’ll take increasing ownership of your own client portfolio, lead regular review meetings and identify where the business can provide additional support.
There is a commercial element to the position, but the philosophy is straightforward: understand the client first, provide genuine value and allow commercial growth to follow from strong relationships.
For someone who wants to join a smaller business and grow with it, there is considerable scope to develop the position over time.
You’ll ideally have experience within an MSP, IT reseller, SaaS business or another technology-focused environment.
You may already be an Account Manager, Client Services Manager or Customer Success Manager. Alternatively, you could come from a client-facing Service Delivery background and be looking to develop your commercial responsibility.
Technical knowledge would be beneficial, but you don’t need to be an IT engineer. Your ability to understand clients, ask good questions, build trust and communicate clearly is far more important.
A full driving licence and access to a car are required for local client visits.
£32,000–£38,000 basic salary, depending on experience, plus performance-related bonus.
You’ll be joining a supportive, close-knit and family-like working environment where individual contribution is recognised and where you’ll work directly alongside senior leadership.
You’ll have a clear route into full ownership of a client portfolio, genuine autonomy and the opportunity to shape a newly created role rather than simply stepping into an established corporate structure.
Most importantly, you’ll be joining a successful boutique MSP with a strong client base and considerable potential for growth - giving you the opportunity to develop your own career as the business develops around you.
