Account Manager

SHIFT Active Media | Bath

SHIFT Active Media is looking for an Account Manager to join our Account Management team, working with some of the world’s most exciting cycling and active lifestyle brands.

This role is ideal for someone with agency or marketing experience who enjoys building strong client relationships, shaping smart strategies and bringing creative ideas to life. You’ll work closely with clients and internal teams to deliver effective, well-planned campaigns that help brands grow.

The role

As an Account Manager at SHIFT, you’ll act as a key link between our clients and the wider agency. You’ll support senior team members while taking increasing ownership of day-to-day client relationships, helping to develop strategies, manage projects and ensure work is delivered on time and on budget.

What you’ll be doing

Client relationship management

  • Build and maintain positive, trusted relationships with clients, acting as a main point of contact on assigned accounts.
  • Support Business Directors and senior team members in developing and growing client partnerships.
  • Develop a strong understanding of each client’s business, objectives and challenges.

Strategy & planning

  • Contribute to the development of brand, communications and campaign strategies targeted at cycling and active lifestyle audiences.
  • Research audiences, markets and competitors to inform strategic thinking.
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends across cycling, sport and marketing, and feed insights into client work.

Campaign & project delivery

  • Brief internal creative and media teams clearly and accurately on client requirements.
  • Manage projects across multiple clients, ensuring work is delivered to a high standard, on time and within budget.
  • Review and, where appropriate, challenge client briefs, offering constructive recommendations to strengthen outcomes.

Internal collaboration

  • Build strong working relationships with colleagues across creative, media and strategy teams.
  • Help ensure clear communication and smooth workflows across projects.
About you

  • An interest in cycling, outdoor sports or active lifestyles — deep industry knowledge is a bonus, but curiosity and enthusiasm matter just as much.
