Role overview

We are looking for an Account Director to join our MHP Technology team and work on an exciting and rapidly growing portfolio of B2B technology clients. As Account Director, you will be managing the daily delivery of client programmes ranging from global brands to start-ups across sectors such as Enterprise, Energy, Cybersecurity, FinTech, and Telecoms.

The role will involve planning and driving campaigns, managing client relationships, and leading teams with minimal senior oversight. We’re looking for strategic thinkers with a passion for B2B technology, capable of combining strong commercial skills with excellent client service. Balancing new business opportunities with the organic growth of current clients, you'll support the new MHP Tech team's growth while embracing broader Group-wide opportunities.

As an Account Director at MHP Group, you will:
  • Lead on day-to-day client programmes and teams.
  • Generate exciting, integrated campaign ideas that achieve business objectives and grow accounts organically.
  • Develop and convey strategic viewpoints to move your clients forward.
  • Lead client work, ensuring you are the final checkpoint for campaigns and can support the team when needed.
  • Proactively seek new business and agency opportunities; work with senior team on new business preparation and pitching.
  • Demonstrate strong project management skills, juggling multiple projects while instilling confidence in senior clients and motivating your team.
  • Participate in team development, identifying growth opportunities.
  • Develop and cultivate key media relationships.
  • Develop content for variety of purposes (articles, whitepapers, social, releases).
  • Maintain a good understanding of clients’ business objectives, media and issues in their wider industry sector.
You will:
  • Have extensive B2B PR agency experience.
  • Have a proven track record in B2B communications with a passion for tech.
  • Have experience working across established and emerging tech brands.
  • Be a strategic and innovative thinker for both clients and the agency.
  • Be able to demonstrate a strong background in new business generation.
  • Have superb client relationship skills.
  • Experience managing team hours, spotting over-servicing, and addressing holiday-related issues.
  • Have a strong network of media contacts spanning media, and wider stakeholders.
