Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are seeking experienced 7.5 tonne drivers for a well-known client in the Darlington area. Monday to Friday shifts start at 09:00, with a pay rate of £16.05 PAYE per hour. Location: DL1 3NL.

This is a temp to perm opportunity offering progression. Responsibilities include heavy manual handling, device usage for delivery updates, and compliance with safety and traffic regulations. Full UK licence with 7.5t entitlement required, DCPC/digital tachograph card preferred, and no

Qualifications

• Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1).
• DCPC and Digital Tachograph card valid.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Drive 7.5 tonne vehicle; up to 30 deliveries/collections per day.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections; ensure road worthiness.
• Load/unload parcels at depots and customer locations as needed.
• Update delivery statuses using company software.

Job description

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Darlington area. We are looking for multiple 7.5 Tonne drivers to join the team.

Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00am starts

Pay Rates: £16.05 PAYE Per Hour

Location: DL1 3NL

Job Type: Temp to perm

The role:

• Up to 30 deliveries/ collections a day
• Manual handling heavily involved including loading and unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Handling devices and company software to update delivery statuses
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring road worthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Requirements:

• Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1)
• New pass welcome to apply
