Job summary

TRCGroup is assisting a well-known client in Leicester to recruit multiple 7.5 Tonne drivers for a temp-to-perm role. Shifts run Monday to Friday starting at 08:00, based in Leicester, LE3.

You will complete 6-8 deliveries and 4-5 collections daily, load and unload your vehicle, and perform safety checks. A full UK CAT C1 licence, DCPC, tachograph card, and good communication are required.

Qualifications

• Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1).
• 1 year driving experience.
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• 6-8 deliveries and 4-5 collections.

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Leicester area. We are looking for multiple 7.5 Tonne drivers to join the team.

Pay Rates: £16.05 PAYE Per Hour

The role:

• 6-8 deliveries and 4-5 collections.
• Drivers will be required to locate parcels and load own vehicle prior to departure and unload at the end of the day.
• Manual handling heavily involved including loading and unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Handling devices and company software to update delivery statuses.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring road worthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
