Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd (Yorkshire) Limited are recruiting for multiple 7.5 Tonne drivers in the York area. This temp-to-perm role offers a 09:00 start from Monday to Friday and pays £16.05 per hour PAYE.

Responsibilities include deliveries and collections, manual handling of parcels, updating delivery statuses, conducting vehicle inspections, and maintaining safety and compliance with traffic laws. A full UK CAT C1 licence and 1 year experience are required.

Qualifications

• Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1).
• 1 year experience required.
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the York area. We are looking for multiple 7.5 Tonne drivers to join the team.

Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00am starts

Pay Rates: £16.05 PAYE Per Hour

Location: York, YO26

Job Type: Temp to perm

The role:

• Deliveries and collections
• Manual handling heavily involved including loading and unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Handling devices and company software to update delivery statuses
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring road worthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Requirements:

• Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1)
• 1 year experience required
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
