Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known client based in Crawley. We are looking for multiple 7.5 Tonne drivers to join the team.

Hours: Monday to Friday 09:30am starts. Location: Crawley, RH10. Job Type: Temp to perm. DUTIES include deliveries and collections, manual handling, logging deliveries using company software, and performing vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1).
• 1 year driving experience required.
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Deliveries and collections.
• Manual handling of parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Update delivery statuses using company software.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Adhere to traffic laws and company policies for safety.
• Liaise with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries.

The role

• Deliveries and collections
• Manual handling heavily involved including loading and unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Handling devices and company software to update delivery statuses
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring road worthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Requirements
