Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting on behalf of our client in the Crawley area for multiple 7.5 Tonne drivers. The role involves deliveries and collections, manual handling, and updating delivery statuses using company software. Pre-trip and post-trip checks are required to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.

Shift is Monday to Friday with a start at 09:30; location is Crawley (RH10). Temp to perm position offering PAYE pay at £16.05 per hour.

Qualifications

• Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1).
• 1 year experience required.
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Deliveries and collections.
• Manual handling heavily involved including loading and unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Handling devices and company software to update delivery statuses.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring road worthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
