Job summary

TRCGroup in the Darlington area is seeking multiple 7.5-tonne drivers for a temp-to-perm position. Shifts are Monday to Friday with a 09:00 start, and duties include up to 30 deliveries/collections daily, loading and unloading parcels, and updating delivery statuses using company software.

Drivers must hold a 7.5t entitlement (CAT C1) and a current DCPC/Digital Tachograph card, with strict adherence to WTD and safety policies. Strong communication with dispatch is essential.

Qualifications

• Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1).
• New pass welcome to apply.
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Up to 30 deliveries/ collections a day.
• Manual handling heavily involved including loading and unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Handling devices and company software to update delivery statuses
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring road worthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Pay Rates: £16.05 PAYE Per Hour
