Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting for a 7.5 Tonne driver to join our client in the Maidstone area. Shift starts 09:00 from Monday to Friday, with a pay rate of £16.05 per hour (PAYE).

Role involves mainly collections with up to 20 stops and some deliveries, plus manual handling and loading/unloading at depots and customer locations. Pre/post trip checks and compliance are required, with clear communication to dispatch for timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1).
• New pass welcome to apply (assessment for under 12 months).
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.

Responsibilities

• Mainly collections - up to 20 stops (occasional deliveries).
• Manual handling involved - loading/unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Use devices and company software to update delivery statuses.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness.
• Adhere to traffic laws, regulations and company policies to maintain safety on the road.
• Communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Maidstone area. We are looking for multiple 7.5 Tonne drivers to join the team.

Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00am starts

Pay Rates: £16.05 PAYE Per Hour

The role:

• Mainly collections - up to 20 stops (there will also be some deliveries)
• Manual handling heavily involved including loading and unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Handling devices and company software to update delivery statuses
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring road worthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Requirements:

• Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1)
• New pass welcome to apply (assessment will be required for anyone under 12 months)
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
