Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd (Yorkshire) Limited in Warrington is seeking a delivery driver for a temp-to-perm role. You will handle deliveries and collections, with manual handling and device usage to update statuses, and perform pre/post-trip vehicle checks.

Applicants must hold a full UK licence with CAT C1 entitlement, have at least 1 year of experience, and hold valid DCPC and Tachograph cards; no more than 6 points. WTD knowledge and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1).
• 1 year experience required.
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.

• Deliveries and collections as part of daily duties.
• Manual handling heavily involved including loading and unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Handling devices and company software to update delivery statuses.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring road worthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
