Job summary

Jago Consultants is seeking a 2nd Line Support specialist in Birmingham to join a small, friendly IT team supporting around 50 employees and contractors working in the office or remotely. You will respond to client tickets, monitor and prioritise workloads, take ownership of issues, and assist with Office 365, backups and Active Directory.

A 37.5-hour week, with occasional paid overtime, awaits the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in an IT environment.
• Exposure managing Office 365 and Anti Virus Solutions.
• Proven problem-solving experience with Windows and Linux devices.
• Experience with virtual machines, preferably VMware.
• Knowledge of Windows Domains and Active Directory management.

Responsibilities

• Respond to client tickets and manage a queue.
• Monitor, prioritise and own tickets.
• Provide immediate and long-term fixes; identify root causes.
• Update the helpdesk system with relevant details.
• Assist in managing Office 365 and other company software.
• Assist onboarding/offboarding of new starters including device prep.
• Assist day-to-day management of backups.
