Job summary

CV Screen Ltd. is seeking an IT Support Engineer to join their Birmingham office. You will be the escalation point for complex issues, ensuring secure and reliable systems while contributing to infrastructure projects. The role is office-based, in Birmingham city centre, with salary up to £32,000 and benefits.

You will work closely with the Head of IT, handle escalations, and support a growing IT team with opportunities for career development and diverse technical exposure.

Qualifications

• Second-line IT support experience in Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) with troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent customer service and a full UK driving licence; willing to travel to other offices.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of escalated tickets and diagnose hardware, software, network, printing and telephony faults.
• Administer users/services across Active Directory, Entra ID and Microsoft 365.
• Build, deploy and maintain laptops, desktops and mobile devices, including patching and MDM.
• Monitor security alerts, backups and disaster recovery in line with GDPR and Cyber Essentials.
• Support office moves, hardware refreshes and rollouts with third-party suppliers.

CV Screen is delighted to be recruiting a Second Line IT Engineer on behalf of a well-established business with offices across the UK. Based in their Birmingham city centre office, this full-time, office-based role pays up to £32,000 and offers a fantastic opportunity to join a growing IT team. Duties & Responsibilities

• Take ownership of escalated tickets, diagnosing hardware, software, network, printing and telephony faults
• Administer users and services across Active Directory, Entra ID and Microsoft 365
• Build, deploy and maintain laptops, desktops and mobile devices, including patching and MDM

What Experience is Required

• Proven second-line IT support experience in a Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 environment

Salary & Benefits

Up to £32,000 per annum depending on experience, plus 23 days’ holiday and bank holidays (rising with service), an extra day off for your birthday, employer pension contributions, an Electric Vehicle Scheme, optional health cover, ongoing training and regular social events.

Location

Birmingham city centre (B1), within easy commuting distance of Solihull, Wolverhampton, West Bromwich, Sutton Coldfield, Dudley and Walsall.
