Job summary

Leidos UK is seeking a 2nd Line Engineer in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire to provide crucial second-line support for core IT systems. You will perform fault rectification, handle incidents and problems, contribute to CSI and CR work, and maintain proactive and reactive maintenance across environments.

The role involves deep knowledge of virtualization, Windows/Linux servers, networking, and Microsoft technologies.

Qualifications

• Experience in fault rectification of incidents within IT systems.
• Ability to liaise with customers to meet SLA/KPI targets.
• Proficient with virtualization and Windows/Linux environments.
• Familiar with ITIL practices and documentation.

Responsibilities

• SD+ ticket resolutions - address incidents in line with KPI/SLA.
• Maintenance and periodic maintenance of systems (PPM).
• Patching using WSUS and SCCM for MS updates and security patches.
• Documentation of system configurations and changes.
• Assist in configuration, installation and deployment of virtual machines and infrastructure components.
• Engage in infrastructure-related projects and CRs new implementations.
