Job Description: 2D CAD Engineer / Estimator

Location: Dudley

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

We are looking for a 2D CAD Engineer / Estimator to join our busy and expanding office team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for engineering design to contribute to a fast‑paced, growing business.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate customer quotes using Lantek software (training provided).
• Read, interpret, and import engineering drawings.
• Create profile drawings using AutoCAD 2D or similar software.
• Communicate effectively with customers via email and phone.
• Liaise with internal departments to resolve queries and ensure smooth project flow.
• Recognise and understand various material types (e.g., S275, S355, CR4, 304, 316).

About You

• Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Previous use of Lantek software would be an advantage, but not essential.
• Ability to work to instruction, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Flexible and reliable, with a positive attitude toward teamwork.

Working Hours

• Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
• Friday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
• 1-hour lunch break per day
• Total: 39.5 hours per week
