Job summary

Qualifications

  • RSA3/SVQ3/NC in Secretarial Studies or equivalent.
  • Proficient IT Skills with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise and work on own initiative.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Minimum requirement of two years secretarial experience in an equivalent position

Responsibilities

  • To provide a comprehensive secretarial and administrative support including the use of audio/copy typing, photocopying, word processing, and management information systems to facilitate the smooth running of the department.
  • To collect and collate patient/performance monitoring/staff governance activity and produce all statistical information.
  • To monitor and maintain the waiting list and referral system for the department.
  • To collect, prioritise and distribute incoming and outgoing correspondence and telephone calls and initiate action as required.
  • To be the first point of contact and liaise with relatives, carers, clients and other agencies by telephone or face to face to maintain the operation of the department.

The Role

The post holder is required to provide a full administrative and secretarial service to a multi disciplinary team including the management of information systems and the co‑ordination of the clinical referral system

What You'll Bring:
