Job summary

The Specialist Operational Services (SOS) team within the DDaT Enterprise Services supports critical IT services for the NCA. This Infrastructure Operations Engineer role focuses on delivering 1st/2nd line support, hardware provisioning, and system maintenance across multiple UK sites.

Responsibilities include OS deployment (Windows Server 2016-24, Linux), server and network management, security‑driven configuration, and on‑call support.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering 1st/2nd line IT support.
• Experience with Windows Server 2016-24 and Linux.
• Familiar with ITIL-aligned service management and security requirements.
• Full UK driving licence essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1st and 2nd line support for SOS systems to ITIL standards.
• Hardware provisioning and installation for servers and related hardware.
• Lifecycle management for hardware and software assets.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and support materials.
• Patch and upgrade software using approved processes.
• Configure and maintain DHCP, DNS and certificate services.
• Collaborate with SOS team to enable reliable operational services.
