Job summary

OneAdvanced seeks a Systems Engineer for its 24x7 Operations team. You’ll provide second-line support across Windows Server, AD, Azure, M365, and endpoints, contributing to service stability through incident resolution, proactive maintenance, and guided changes.

The role requires working a 24x7 shift pattern, including nights and holidays, across multiple client environments. You’ll collaborate with Senior Engineers to ensure high-quality IT service delivery.

Qualifications

• Operational experience supporting Microsoft-based infrastructure and workplace services.
• Windows Server administration and core Active Directory concepts.
• Foundational experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 services.
• Experience supporting Windows endpoints, including Intune and/or Configuration Manager.
• A structured, methodical approach to troubleshooting and incident resolution.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow and ITIL processes.
• Understanding of ITIL Incident, Change and Problem Management.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work a 24x7 shift pattern, including nights and holidays.
• Eligibility for UK Government Security Check (SC) clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide second-line support across Windows Server, AD, Azure, M365 and virtualization.
• Support Microsoft Modern Workplace services, including Intune and SCCM.
• Resolve incidents, fulfil service requests and implement changes per ITIL.
• Carry out patching, backups and endpoint updates via runbooks and tooling.
• Use monitoring and CMDB data to triage and resolve issues.
• Maintain ServiceNow tickets, changes and configuration items.
• Participate in shift handovers to ensure continuity of service.
• Identify recurring issues and raise improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to knowledge articles, runbooks and operational docs.
• Collaborate with Senior Engineers and Squad Managers.
